About me
Mark Raia is an experienced educator with 20 years working in LAUSD as a special education teacher, school psychologist and principal. He believes that data can be powerfully leveraged to gain insights into student learning and inform and guide instructional practices. This is exemplified through the Data Champion Initiative he leads as the Director Data & Technology in the Equitable School Performance Office. The intentional work of building the capacity of Instructional Leadership Team members to model data leadership by developing and implementing data strategies that create the coherence and synergy that fuels data driven dialogue and converts data into instructional practices that accelerate learning and strengthens instructional practices and competencies. He looks forward to expanding the work from the Priority Schools participating in the Superintendent’s Data Dialogues to Inform Growth, Data DIGs to all schools.
