About me
Beatriz Smissen has served school communities in diverse educational settings in the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) since 1992. In her various roles, she has worked collaboratively with others, fostered partnerships and leveraged resources that support student learning.
She is currently part of LAUSD’s Human Resources team, Los Angeles Administrative Services Credential (LAASC) Program. As an Administrative Coordinator she leads district-wide professional development, coaches candidates to clear their Administrative Services Credential, and designs programs that align with LAUSD School Leadership Framework and CA. Professional Standards for Education Leaders. She has co-authored and presented on social-emotional learning and leadership development in collaboration with her leadership team.
