Review the key understandings of building Coherence and its alignment to PDSA cycles. Consider the intent/purpose of a PDSA cycle and plan for actions that need to be taken at each stage (Plan, Do, Study, Act). Study Tier 1 and Tier 2 PDSA models to consider ways to schedule cycles across the year.
Expand your toolkit with engaging families with the Strategic Plan Family Guide. This session will provide school leaders with an overview of the Family Guide and how they can utilize it to work with families at their school site. School leaders will be able to facilitate and engage in powerful conversations with parents and their school community on how the school is working to meet goals for students in the Strategic Plan.
I have been a part of LAUSD since 1991 serving in many different roles. I am a former teacher, principal, local district administrator and most of all a proud product of LAUSD.
In this interactive session, participants will learn to leverage LAUSD programs and resources to develop new teacher practice. With support from the facilitators and colleagues, participants will design action plans that supports their new teachers in moving toward mastery of the CSTPs and the TLF elements. Aligned with LAUSD’s Strategic Plan, the PSLF, and the SLF, this action plan will ensure that principals are connecting new teachers with high-quality professional development that results in implementation of effective pedagogy, guiding new teachers to networking opportunities that support collaboration, and conducting observations that result in actionable feedback to new teachers.
