Recess is an excellent opportunity for students to build friendships and get to know each other through play. This session will provide elementary leaders with tools to grow inclusive practices during recess and in turn, build time in the least restrictive environment (LRE) for students with disabilities and generate a more joyful school community. Intentional planning for this period of time can yield dividends in the sense of belonging all students feel and can lead to additional opportunities for time in general education.
