In the workshop Building Success: Teaching, Reminding, and Celebrating Positive Behavior to Foster a Welcoming School Climate, participants will explore strategies for promoting positive behavior in middle school students. The session will focus on how administrators can put systems in place to effectively teach behavior expectations, reinforce them consistently, and celebrate students who demonstrate these behaviors, in alignment with Standard 4 of the School Leadership Framework. We’ll discuss practical methods for embedding these practices into daily routines, ensuring students understand and internalize expectations. Additionally, participants will learn how to create an inclusive and supportive environment where positive behaviors are recognized, leading to a more welcoming and engaging school climate for all students.
