LAUSD Principals' Leadership Institute 2025

This session explores how early math experiences in Preschool and UTK lay the groundwork for future academic success. Grounded in the new California Preschool and Transitional Kindergarten Learning Foundations (PTKLF) for Mathematics, it highlights developmentally appropriate practices, key classroom “look-fors,” and the principal’s role in supporting quality math instruction. Aligned with the district’s Teaching and Learning Framework, the session emphasizes intentional teaching, equity, and fostering a rich learning environment. Leaders will leave with tools to support teachers, ensure joyful math learning, and advance academic excellence starting in the pre-kindergarten years.
