Greetings, LAUSD Principals!

Welcome to our 2025 Principals’ Leadership Institute. At this year’s event, we will have the opportunity for our school leaders to learn together in collaborative sessions that build our collective capacity.

This year’s Principals’ Leadership Institute will be a time for:
  • Collaboration of instructional leaders
  • Calibration of deep learning
  • Teambuilding and mentorships
  • Radical dreaming for academic success and accelerating student outcomes

We hope you have an incredible time at PLI 2025!
Thursday July 24, 2025 10:40am - 11:30am PDT
In this session, participants will develop a learning path for their school teams to engage around high impact practices outlined in Visible Learning for Literacy and Visible Learning from Mathematics by John Hattie, Nancy Frey, and Doug Fisher. They will identify key levers to ensure teachers engage with the practices and incorporate them into their teaching using data as a measure of impact. Participants will also learn how one school used both books to strengthen teacher pedagogy. The learning is strongly aligned to Strategic Plan priorities 1A: High Quality Instruction and 5b: Professional Learning and EDST Standards 1a2: Knowledge of Content-Related Pedagogy and 5b2: Promotes a Culture of Professional Inquiry and Collaboration.
