Through robotics instruction students engage directly with the Strategic Plan Pillar 1 – Academic Excellence. It explicitly aligns to Strategy 1B: Enriching Experiences through STEAM and 1C: Eliminating Opportunity Gaps by allowing typically underrepresented students groups to engage in authentic STEAM aligned activities. A strong robotics program aligns to many Leadership Standards including 2A1 – Builds capacity of school leaders to adapt to and manage change as well as 5B1 – Advocates for students. Additionally, it aligns directly to the LAUSD School Leadership Framework 6A5: Seeks, allocates, and uses technology and other resources to support learning.
Mr. Garringer, with over 20 years experience in education, is a recognized leader in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Engineering (STEAM) education.
