The "Three Reads Protocol (TRP)" is designed to engage students in the sense making of language rich math problems. It enages students in the importance of understanding math problems before trying to solve them. This session will explore how Generative AI—specifically ChatGPT—can elevate instructional leadership. Participants will learn how to use AI to support classroom walkthroughs by identifying grade-level standards, analyzing student work, calibrating instructional practice, and generating high-impact, actionable feedback. The session will emphasize preserving their voice while enhancing the clarity and polish of written feedback. Through hands-on practice and real school examples, principals will leave with practical tools and strategies to integrate AI into their leadership routines—ensuring feedback is timely, standards-aligned, and instructionally meaningful.
With the passage of the Board Resolution for Modern Budget Transparency in June of 2024, the District has engaged in creating budget tools for the public that create transparency and accessibility to the District's budget. The budget tools allow for the District to engage the public in a robust conversation regarding our budget and expenditures and how they align to the goals of the Strategic Plan.
Session Focus: Equitable instruction, closing achievement gaps, accelerating learning and cultivating leadershipIn this session, Principal Susannah Yorke Washington guides leaders through practical strategies for implementing high-impact instructional practices—such as data-driven small groups and curriculum fidelity—shares success stories from her experience as a Tier 3 Instructional Leader, provides models for distributed leadership and shared decision-making, and equips participants with tools for data-informed practices.
This session will explore the Arts Funding Toolkit to support and develop robust arts programming at school sites. Participants will examine how strategic use of arts funds can foster meaningful family and community engagement while building a sustainable, schoolwide arts culture. The session will also include time for sharing best practices and ideas for cultivating an arts-rich environment that reflects the entire school community.

With the passage of the Board Resolution for Modern Budget Transparency in June of 2024, the District has engaged in creating budget tools for the public that create transparency and accessibility to the District's budget. The budget tools allow for the District to engage the public in a robust conversation regarding our budget and expenditures and how they align to the goals of the Strategic Plan.

Federal and State Education Programs will present a breakout session to provide an overview of the Title I program, including its purpose, key budget components, and how the School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) can support and guide PDSA cycles throughout the school year. This session is designed to give principals-especially those new to their campus or to Title I-a foundational understanding of the program. Participants will also learn how to use SPSA monitoring as a resource to support effective plan implementation. Additionally, there will be dedicated time to engage with their school’s SPSA and explore how it can be leveraged to improve student outcomes.
The PAR Program provides two pathways of support for effective classroom practice. Each year, PAR offers over 70 6-hour workshops across two dozen titles that address TLF standards 1-3. PAR also offers one-on-one instructional coaching to help teachers reflect on and improve their planning, classroom environment, and delivery of instruction.

In support of college and career readiness, this session will share about the ability to earn a diploma instead of a from certificates of completion for students eligible for CAA and most often in alternate curriculum/modified core curriculum programs.
This breakout session supports school-based administrators in strengthening their ability to monitor classroom instruction and provide high-quality, actionable feedback to teachers. This workshop connects with the Joy and Wellness Pilar of the District's Strategic Plan. It will provide a comprehensive overview of the Student Mental Health and Wellness Services (SMHWS) Branch. The session will delve into available student mental health services, including crisis team training, access to district clinics and Wellness Centers, and the new Student Digital Joy and Wellness Plan. Furthermore, attendees will learn about establishing no-cost partnerships at their school sites, the Wellness Policy and how to utilize the Student and Family Resource Line.
