Welcome to our 2024 Principals’ Leadership Institute. At this year’s event, we will have the opportunity for our school leaders to learn together in collaborative sessions that build our collective capacity.


This year’s Principals’ Leadership Institute will be a time for:

Review the key understandings of building Coherence and its alignment to PDSA cycles. Consider the intent/purpose of a PDSA cycle and plan for actions that need to be taken at each stage (Plan, Do, Study, Act). Study Tier 1 and Tier 2 PDSA models to consider ways to schedule cycles across the year.

The Office of Data and Accountability (ODA) provides a range of services to support schools in maintaining accurate records for students, and for facilitating a smooth assessment process. In the session you will learn about the various ways that principals can work with ODA staff and systems to maintain accurate student data and records and establish smooth and efficient state testing systems.

Categorical Programs-From Program to Monitoring

Federal and State Education Programs will present a breakout session to provide knowledge on the purpose of the Title I program, the associated budgetary components, and how the SPSA can provide support and direction for PDSA cycles throughout the school year.  This presentation is intended to provide a foundational understanding of the Title I program and principals, with time to engage with their School Plans for Student Achievement. This presentation is designed to provide foundational knowledge of the Title I program and addresses the needs of principals who are new to their campus or new to the Title I program.
