Review the key understandings of building Coherence and its alignment to PDSA cycles. Consider the intent/purpose of a PDSA cycle and plan for actions that need to be taken at each stage (Plan, Do, Study, Act). Study Tier 1 and Tier 2 PDSA models to consider ways to schedule cycles across the year.
Finding meaningful time to provide professional development can be a challenge given teachers' busy schedules. In this session, principals will learn about how to engage teachers in professional learning using a lab day structure between the bells. They will see examples of how they can set up professional learning for teachers as part of a PDSA cycle and as a means to refine and try out research-aligned practices. Tools and templates will be shared that that school leaders can use to refine or start the process at their own schools.

Meeting the specific needs of students is everyone's business! This workshop will discuss the Best Practices to turn into your Next Practices for an effective SSPT process at your site. This session will address the Academic, Behavior and Attendance supports to ensure Academic Excellence as well as Joy and Wellness to meet the specific needs of students.
During this session participants will explore systems and structures that can be implemented to cultivate collaborative classrooms and increase student to student discourse. We will discuss the role of academic discourse and meaningful student engagement in high quality instruction . The resources that will be examined can be used to support teachers in implementing research-based and culturally and linguistically responsive instructional practices .
