Welcome to our 2024 Principals’ Leadership Institute. At this year’s event, we will have the opportunity for our school leaders to learn together in collaborative sessions that build our collective capacity.


This year’s Principals’ Leadership Institute will be a time for:

Connecting Students to Careers: Adult Education CTE & Apprenticeship Programs

The LAUSD Division of Adult and Career Education is excited to support K-12 schools by offering increased access to CTE-related programs. This session will focus on dual enrollment opportunities for high school students and a variety of job training options for recent graduates, including LAUSD-specific career pathways, pre-apprenticeship programs, and apprenticeship programs. The session will also include a speaker panel focused on proven practices for connecting high school students to adult education CTE resources.

Guidelines and Best Practices for a Successful Prop 39 Co-Location

A workshop for returning and new principals on sites with a Prop. 39 charter school co-location.  This interactive session will deepen knowledge of Prop. 39/co-locations with examples and discussion of best practices for successful leadership at a co-located site.
